Delete your Clips account

Effective September 7, 2026

You can request deletion without reinstalling Clips or retaining access to the app.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Clips and sign in.
  2. Open Profile, then Account & sign-in.
  3. Select Delete account and confirm.

Request deletion on the web

Email contact@cloutopstechnologies.com from the email address associated with your Clips account. Use the subject “Clips account deletion request.” Do not include your password, payment-card details, or identity documents.

We may ask you to verify control of the account before processing the request. Deletion removes or anonymizes account data, saved titles, preferences, and other user-linked app data in systems controlled by Clips, subject to limited security, fraud-prevention, transaction, backup, and legal-retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

Messaging deletion is separate

Deleting the app account removes its app-account data and unlinks any optional messaging pointer. The messaging scan identity and its trial or allowance state are separate and are never merged into the app account. To delete messaging-owned messages, URLs, jobs, synthetic lists and service preferences, reminders, Picks settings and recent-title history, feedback signals, and route ciphertext, reply DELETE or ERASE in the direct Clips iMessage conversation.

Likewise, replying DELETE or ERASE in iMessage unlinks the pointer and deletes messaging-owned data, but it does not delete the linked app account or information already written into its library or preferences, including saved titles and streaming-service choices.

Analytics and subscription processors

The immediate in-app deletion may not erase historical analytics events already delivered to PostHog or subscription and transaction records held by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google. To request a processor-specific deletion, include “PostHog analytics” or “RevenueCat subscription records” in your email request. After verifying the account, we process those requests manually where the processor permits deletion. Processors and app stores may retain limited fraud, accounting, chargeback, legal, and backup records under their own policies.

Subscriptions

Deleting a Clips account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it separately in the subscription settings for the store account used to purchase it.
